At the close of Fay Chandler’s upcoming 50 year survey of art at the BCA Cyclorama, she has generously offered any unsold work to be donated to qualifying nonprofit agencies. This event is by invitation only and RSVP’s are required for admission. If you are a recipient agency who has been invited to this event, please read below for additional details.
As a recipient agency of The Art Connection, you are invited to participate in this rare opportunity to select and receive art from our founder Fay Chandler’s upcoming art exhibition, Just As I Am, at the Boston Center for the Arts.
Unsold artworks will be given to agencies on a first come-first served basis on Tuesday, September 28, between 10 am and 12 pm.
If you would like to view the exhibition beforehand, then we encourage you to visit from September 16-27 (exhibit hours: every day, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.). As a reminder, only the unsold artworks will be available for donation on September 28.
You may send an art selection committee or agency representative to the exhibition on Tuesday, September 28 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. to potentially select up to five artworks for your agency. The artworks will not require any additional framing. About 100 agencies are invited, therefore we recommend that you arrive early. That day, we will provide you with deeds, plaques, and paperwork for your new art gifts, but you must pick up your art that same day. This means that you should bring an appropriately sized vehicle to transport your new art back to your agency.
