A vital aspect of Danforth Art is its close relationship with working artists, and the Museum is proud to showcase selected works, curated by Katherine French, from The Art Connection portfolio in the Swartz Gallery this fall. A highlight of the exhibition is Fay Chandler’s Enigma, a mixed media work in Danforth Art’s permanent collection. Chandler is the founder of The Art Connection, and Enigma was the first gift made to a non-profit by the organization. The exhibition, Creative Community: Danforth Art in Collaboration with The Art Connection, will run from October 8-December 14, 2014. Following the exhibition, works will be gifted by participating artists to area hospitals, clinics, and other human service agencies in the MetroWest area.
