On Saturday, April 30th, The Art Connection hosted Art BINGO to encourage new and continuing art collectors in the Boston area. Participants enjoyed delicious food and drink, a premium auction, and played Bingo to win gorgeous original artworks. SEE EVENT PHOTOS HERE! All proceeds from the evening went to support the work of The Art Connection, which enriches the Boston-area community by placing works of art at social service agencies.
Jurors, Katherine French, Director of Catamount Arts Gallery and Former Director of Danforth Art, and Jane Young, Director of Chase Young Gallery, selected 12 works of art to be included in 2016 Art BINGO, which was part of ArtWeek Boston, April 29-May 8, 2016. Artwork donations and bingo ticket sales all support the mission of The Art Connection, which enriches and empowers under-served communities by increasing access to original works of art.

We were thrilled to welcome Boston local and international public artist, Janet Echelman, whose aerial sculpture recently transformed the Rose Kennedy Greenway, as our Art Bingo Honorary chair. Longtime WHDH-TV Boston television reporter Janet Wu, who now reports for WCBS in New York City, was the evening’s charismatic emcee. Boston City Councillor-at-Large Ayanna Pressley joined us as a bingo caller.
