United Residents in Academy Homes II (URIAH) includes 236 units for low income families in Roxbury. New townhouses along with a new Community Building have recently replaced an old development that had been a stressed out worn down community ruled by gang crime and violence. Art is now hanging in the Community Building. Residents and community members can enjoy the work as they gather for events, utilize the computer lab, socialize with each other, and meet with staff. Community groups who are not URIAH residents also use the Community Building for local meetings and events, therefore this placement will expand community access to art on a number of levels.
