Mural Dedication Ceremony at Newton Community Service Center

A two story intergenerational mural was celebrated in Newton on November 9 following two months of designing and painting by kids, teens, adults, and elders. The mural, "A Tree Grows in West Newton," illustrates the services and sense of community at Newton Community Service Center.

Mural Dedication Ceremony at Roxbury Youthworks' Female Focus Initiative

Adolescent painters and community members celebrated a new outdoor mural, "Still We Rise," on Blue Hill Ave on June 21. The mural was the second in a series of "Engaging Communities" Murals facilitated by The Art Connection and funded by the New England Foundation for the Arts.

Mural Dedication Ceremony at Children's Advocacy Center

A mural, "Beantown Dreams," was celebrated at a Community Mural Dedication and Art Tour on May 10, from 5-7 pm along with 31 works of art by 14 artists who have generously donated work for permanent placement at the Children's Advocacy Center through The Art Connection's art donation and placement program.
