Recovery Mural at the Shattuck Shelter in Jamaica Plain


Men painting muralA pilot mural project took place at the Friends of the Shattuck Shelter in Jamaica Plain in July 2005 granting six homeless men the opportunity to engage in the artistic process. Led by artist Tova Speter, the men participated in a series of workshops brainstorming, designing, and painting a three-wall mural in the dining Shattuck Muralarea of their shelter reflecting the theme of Recovery.
