Rogerson Roslindale Adult Day Health Program

Bouquet by Frances J. GrossmanRogerson Roslindale Adult Day Health Program offers a daily program of wellness and nursing services, social service assistance, nutrition, exercise, and recreational programs for disabled adults in their community. Their new collection of 14 original artworks will be celebrated as part of Roslindale Open Studies on November 7.

Rogreson's new artwork hangs in the entry, community room, meeting rooms, dining area, and hallways to stimulate the clients, warm the environment, and provide a sense of connection and pride. It also brightens up the program area for residents with dementia.

To hear about how the artwork makes a difference, consider these quotes from program staff and clients:

"I think that the art work is wonderful! All the beautiful pictures and people … It is nice that the program has these nice things. It makes this disease liveable for us."

-Elsie, Day Program Participant

"Thanks to the Art Connection, we have access to amazing art which, as a non-profit, we would not have been able to afford. The original works have a direct and positive impact on our clients and visitors."    -Laurie Trilling, Vice President, Operations

"The art is very nice. It is terrific! I like the colors. It makes me feel good when I look at it."

-Hazel, Day Program Participant

Untitled by Ellen Rich"The art gives the space a nice, airy, welcoming feeling. When the clients walk by the different pieces, I can see them light up. The art has done a wonder for the program. I love it!" -Genevive Tetteh, Program Assistant
