Michael Bacon
Michael Bacon
is the Director of Nutritional Services at the Boston Living Center. He has been with the BLC since 1996. He has an extensive background in all aspects of food service, from catering to teaching kitchen skills to developmentally disabled adults. Michael is an avid art collector, gardener and chef; who always has room for one more at this dining room table.




Evelyn Barahona
Evelyn Barahona is Chief Marketing Officer of Get Konnected! (Colette Phillips
Communications) which connects prominent community leaders of color to one another and to organizations looking to network with this segment of the population through events and programming. Evelyn is an advocate of philanthropy and civic engagement. She also works with Career Coaching 4Kidz as a workshop facilitator. She has investment management experience, is originally from San Francisco, and is Salvadoran.


Betsy Boveroux

 

After completing the Harvard Radcliffe Program in Business Administration, Betsy
Boveroux
worked for many years in the investment business and retired from Eaton Vance Management Company. She has been active in non profits and, in addition to The Art Connection, is on the Board of WalkBoston, a pedestrian advocacy group, The Boston Conservatory, Boston Modern Orchestra Project (BMOP), and Emmanuel Music. Betsy goes to a lot of concerts and meetings and enjoys them all thoroughly.

 

Prilla Smith Brackett

Prilla Smith Brackett
has been working professionally as a painter for 27 years. Her work is in public and private collections, such as the Fogg Art Museum of Harvard University Museums, DeCordova Museum, Art in US Embassies Program, National Museum of Women in the Arts, Radcliffe College, Boston Public Library, Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, E. F. Hutton, Fidelity Corporation, Honeywell, and Shell Oil in the USA, Japan, and Europe.




Fay Chandler

Fay Chandler
is founder of The Art Connection. She is a painter and sculptor who has been working in Boston since the early 1970s. Through her career, Fay Chandler has had more than 30 solo art exhibitions. Her work appears in collections in the Danforth Museum, the DeCordova Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts, and the Chrysler Museum of Art.


 


Dr. Mary Coogan
Dr. Mary Coogan
was trained in the Jungian tradition at the Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, California. As a psychotherapist working in the depth tradition, she has over twenty years of consulting experience working with individuals and groups in private, community and institutional practice. Her "Ultima Thule" project is currently used as a clinical tool by creative arts therapists in the treatment of anxiety, depression and grief work. Dr. Coogan holds a Master of Fine Arts from The Instituto Allende in Mexico. She is on the Board for The Art Connection and the Hanover Cultural Council.


R. Hilliard Ebling

R. Hilliard Ebling has over 30 years of experience in the domestic capital markets. Prior to joining Winward Investment Management, he worked in the Private Wealth Management Division of Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse. Mr. Ebling spent 16 years at State Street Corporation, the last eight as Sr. Vice President and Division Head overseeing fixed income dealing and product origination activities in the municipal marketplace. Mr. Ebling was a member of the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board and a board member of the Bond Market Association. He attended the Universtiy of Oregon, graduating with a BA in English. Mr. Ebling serves as Board Chair of the Montserrat College of Art. A passionate skier, he still races competitively, while contining his road biking and golf.

Mercedes Evans

 

A lawyer for over three decades, Mercedes Evans has built her career advocating for civil rights and equal treatment at a variety of positions. At MassArt for 15 years, she is Director of Civil Rights Compliance and Diversity. More than a job, Mercedes is surrounded by art, art students, and working artists; she joins The Art Connection Board because of her interest in the creative process and access to original art.





Deb Fraize

Deborah Fraize
is a fundraiser and project developer for environmental and social change nonprofits, a novice writer, and an enthusiastic supporter of the arts and The Art Connection. Originally from central Massachusetts and rural Maine, she currently lives in Cambridge. She joined the Board in 2008.




David Greenberg


David Greenberg
works in Supply Chain Management as Inventory Manager with Tufts Medical Center. His passion is helping people and organizations navigate complex and mission critical environments. He holds a MBA from Boston College and a degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Carleton College. David joined the Board in 2009.




Amanda Hurd

Amanda Hurd
is Chair Emeritus, and has been with The Art Connection since its inception in 1995. She has a B.S. in Art History from Columbia University, and she is a retired administrative officer.




                Jing Mai               

Jing Mai is currently a CPA working as an Internal Auditor with American Tower.
He is an avid runner and photographer. He holds a MSA and a BA from Babson College.

 

 


 

Matt MulroneyMatt Mulroney is a Partner in CCR's Tax Services Department. He earned his Bachelor's of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Adelphi University and his Masters of Science degree in Taxation from Northeastern University. Mr. Mulroney has more than 20 years of accounting experience working with the established privately-held, start-up enterprises, as well as individual taxation matters. Mr. Mulroney is a certified public accountant in Massachusetts. He is a member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants, the America Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Lion's Club International and has served as an Adjunct Professor at Northeastern University.

  

 


Tony Rello
Tony Rello
manages housing programs for the St. Francis House
, New England's largest day shelter. Prior to that, he taught their Moving Ahead Program at the Norfolk County House of Correction, working with inmates transitioning back into the community. A former businessman with interests in international travel, art and design, Tony truly believes in the transformative power of art. He is thrilled to serve on the Board and the Program Committee of the Art Connection.


 

Lynn SchweikartLynn Schweikart is the owner of LKS Creative Counsel in Boston, where she is a marketing communications writer and strategist; brand storyteller; and new product and content development expert. She authors a food blog, Savoring the Seasons, and is interested in cooking, bird watching, watercolors, storytelling, photography, and travel. Lynn joined the Board of the Art Connection in 2005 because she passionately believes that everyone should have access to the transformative power of art.


Ildiko Szabo

Ildiko Szabo is Director of Community Life at Youville House Assisted Living Residence in Cambridge. Interest in communities led her from teaching to The Children's Hospital and to Assisted Living Residences. At Youville House, she oversees the smooth transition of new residents into community life and reaches out to the larger community to enrich life within the residence. As a recipient of art through The Art Connection for Youville House, she gained insight into the application process and even more convinced of the need for The Art Connection, she joined the Board in 2009.
